If it’s time for an upgrade in your home entertainment, you might want to consider the newest and impressive technologies that are offered in stores near you. While they may be a bit more expensive than the average, these newer technologies are cutting edge and can allow you to step into a new world of home entertainment that you didn’t even know was available to you.

Don’t you hate when you get a movie on DVD that you saw in 3D in theaters and it isn’t nearly the same? Well, this does not ever have to happen again. 3D technology has come into your very own living room. The technology was introduced to the American market in the summer of 2010. 3D televisions are available at most home entertainment stores at varying costs. Based on the size and quality you can find them for as low as $700, but good quality usually starts at $1200 or higher. Remember, the more expensive usually means the bigger and better the television. This technology uses the same principles that your theater uses. With the use of special 3D glasses, your movies and television shows can come alive. A blue-ray player is required for all 3D compatible movies and there are a few television networks that offer 3D programming. Some sets have the option of upgrading a 2D program to 3D, but it isn’t as good of quality as programming made for 3D.

Motion sensory video games are also available. You have probably seen the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation Move which are motion senor with the use of a controller. However, the Xbox 360 has come up with their own controller-less motion sensor console called Kinect. Kincet was released in November 2010 and has been the fastest growing console. It uses a camera that has 3D and infrared sensors to capture your movement. It can see when you move forward, jump, duck, move your hands and even shake your hips! It has facial and voice recognition so it can sign your returning account in by it just seeing or hearing you. Games are themed to promote actions like sports, dancing, exercising and obstacle courses.

If you are interested in updating your home entertainment, either television or game console, go to your local technology store today. They can give you more up to the date information and help you choose which one is right for you.
